Bridge Ministries is a servant to the Church of Rockford.  We exist to build up and bring together the divided parts of the Body to help bring unity and thus increase effectiveness in the doing of God's work.  What follows are examples of some of the services we offer to the Body, and to the community at large.

Some of the ways we are building up the Body include:

Speaking on the topic of unity; joining in community worship and prayer experiences

Mentoring young leaders to take the gospel to the community

Encouraging pastors and churches to see their members as missionaries in the marketplace positions where they serve, and support and equip them for those roles.

One on one encounters with pastors, ministers, and ministry leaders for the purpose of encouragement and support.

One on one encounters with key community civic, business, and agency leaders for the purpose of encouragement and support, and to represent the Church to them in their field of influence.

Regular time of prayer for groups of pastors, ministers, ministry leaders and community leaders.

Announcing training opportunities locally and elsewhere.

Helping to find ministry resources for those who need them.

Retreat opportunities for those in ministry.

Some of the ways we are bringing the Body of Christ together include:

Sponsoring prayer gathering to pray for the city and unity in the body of Christ

Participating in the local leadership roundtable of key Christian church and community leaders, gathered to discern God's lead and work together for his purposes.

Creating and supporting coalitions of like-minded or similarly targeted ministries;

Bringing together the leaders of the local ministers fellowships and associations for fellowship and finding common purpose and goals

Encouraging participation of churches and ministries in community wide ministry efforts

Hosting events intended to bring together ministries and ministers unknown to each other

Building friendships with and between those seperated by race, denomination, geography

Being a clearinghouse for information regarding community wide events, opportunities, and resources

Other services we have and can provide include:

- Speaking to churches and groups, especially in the area of reconcilliation and unity.

- Consulting with congregations in the area of youth / young adult ministry

- Helping to match people to ministry opportunities, both paid and volunteer
